)-- The Jagged Stones – the premier Rolling Stones tribute - are coming to Memphis and will debut their arena-style show on February 1st at The Hard Rock Café on Beale Street. Doors at 9:30 and the show is at 10pm. Tickets are $15.
The popular Atlanta-based tribute are truly in the business of being the Rolling Stones; a task they never take lightly. “We don’t believe in cutting corners when it comes to our sound and show,” relates Stephen “Skip” Skipper, JS’s lead singer. “I have the privilege of playing with some of the best musicians out of Atlanta and our goal is to consistently deliver an arena-style Stones show that will be remembered. It’s all about our fans.”
Skipper, along with guitarist Barry Zion (aka Keef Richards) showcase a diverse selection of the Rolling Stones catalog including Can’t You Hear Me Knockin,’ Brown Sugar and Gimme Shelter. To recreate the true Stones sound, The Jagged Stones include a full horn section, a keyboardist and also, female backup singers that were so prominent on many of their hits. “I’ve seen a good majority of the Rolling Stone tribute bands out there, and nothing comes close to the sincerity that the Jagged Stones have,” says manager Hugh Hession of Hession Entertainment Group. “They don’t just get up on stage and play the part. They are passionate musicians and love playing music. That’s what truly resonates with their audiences…it’s believable.”
