)-- Paragon Bank has announced that Cammy Downing recently joined the bank as vice president of compliance. In her position, Downing is responsible for interpreting and implementing regulations to include writing policies as necessary, while supporting activities in other areas of the bank.
Downing, with a strong foundation in financial operations, loans and compliance, has been in the banking industry for more than 25 years. She started her career with Four Oaks Bank located in the Triangle, and Live Oak and Port City Capital banks located in Wilmington, N.C.
Downing holds two certifications from the Independent Community Bankers Association (ICBA); she is a Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer and a Certified Bank Secrecy Act Professional. Active in her community, Downing is a member of First Baptist Church in Garner, N.C., and enjoys volunteering in her free time. She resides in Clayton, N.C., with her nephew.
