)-- With sales of its EtherHaul system seeing double-digit growth in 2013, Siklu continues to lead the rapidly growing E-band millimeter wave backhaul market.
The company announced today that it sold more than 6,500 EtherHaul units in 2013, to service providers, operators and private networks. That represents more than 30 percent market share for the year. Siklu has achieved industry leadership through its groundbreaking all-silicon technology, which slashed prices and enabled mass market millimeter wave adoption.
“Siklu entered the market with a disruptive price point, which has driven adoption and pulled down average unit prices across the market,” says Richard Webb, Directing Analyst, Microwave and Carrier WiFi, for Infonetics Research, “In 2013 Siklu was a major driver of unit volumes with its EtherHaul licensed millimeter wave products.”
More than 13,500 EtherHaul units are already deployed worldwide, in all climates, making them the most field-proven in the industry. Numerous service providers and operators are taking advantage of EtherHaul’s carrier-grade reliability and advanced Ethernet networking capabilities to integrate them seamlessly into their networks.
In 2014, Siklu will further the penetration of its new groundbreaking innovation – low-priced, tiny, and unobtrusive V-band (60 GHz) backhaul radio that will enable mass deployment of street-level networked devices. Applications range from carrier small cells backhaul through Wi-Fi offload to security solutions, Siklu’s new radios are simple to install and deliver high performance at a very low cost. Combined with its E-band products, these new radios allow Siklu to address multiple backhaul use cases that challenge operators and service providers worldwide.
“We have already transformed the millimeter wave market with our all-silicon E-band radio, and now we’re going to shake up the 60 GHz V-band market,” said Siklu’s CEO, Itzik Ben-Bassat. “Driving small cell backhaul costs down – from unit cost to installation and operational costs - is crucial for profitable deployments.
“Siklu’s EtherHaul-600T backhaul solution is the smallest in the market, and it can be installed rapidly on street furniture by non-telco personnel. It delivers advanced networking, high capacity, and reliability at a compelling price.”
Siklu will be at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona February 24-27, in Hall 2, Stand G50.
Siklu delivers Gigabit capacity millimeter wave wireless backhaul solutions operating in the 60, 70 and 80 GHz bands. The top choice of tier-1 operators worldwide, thousands of units have been deployed and deliver carrier grade performance. Siklu’s innovative all-silicon design has dramatically reduced prices and effectively opened the market for ultra-high capacity wireless links. Siklu is currently deploying its next innovation - 60 GHz backhaul that will enable mass deployment of small cells and other street-level networked devices. Visit www.siklu.com.
