The Artist Lounge is Opening a Second Location in Local Grosse Pointe Woods Favorite
Grosse Pointe, MI, January 26, 2014 --(PR.com
)-- The Artist Lounge is expanding! The Artist Lounge is opening a second location inside of Rainy Day Art and Framing, a local Grosse Pointe Woods favorite this Friday, January 24 starting at 6:00pm.
To commemorate the new location's opening, The Artist Lounge's founders Wendy Fournier and Wendelin Wilson invite all to a VIP celebration, featuring The Formula Band, light beverages and snacks, and a special edition painting "Starry Night over Grosse Pointe Yacht Club" that will begin at 7:00pm. This limited run painting puts a personal touch on Vincent van Gogh's famous painting by adding the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club into the scene, which will be showcased by using acrylic paint on canvas. Guests can enjoy the entire evening for a $5 donation to Art Road, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating art curriculums in Detroit schools.
Similar to The Artist Lounge's flagship Pontiac location, guests are welcome to follow step-by-step instructions to create a artistic masterpiece of their own during classes on Tuesday and Thursday through Sunday. Painters are encouraged to book classes with friends and bring along wine and snacks to help complete their experience. No experience is necessary. A few friends, a little paint, positive instruction, and maybe a little wine will unlock even the most left-brained among us.
At The Artist Lounge: Grosse Pointe, we encourage people to do something new. Join us Friday evening to see what that might be for you. Class reservations and private party bookings are currently accepted atwww.theartistlounge.biz.
