San Antonio, TX, January 29, 2014 --(PR.com
)-- Primera Energy LLC is a Texas-bonded operator drilling for oil and natural gas in the Eagle Ford Shale. Primera’s Eagle Ford wells 1H through 4H are referred to as “Screaming Eagle.” As Primera Energy plans to expand its number of wells in 2014, the company released information revealing the reason behind the “Screaming Eagle” moniker.
Primera Energy’s wells were dubbed “Screaming Eagle” in honor of the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army. Founded in 1942, this air assault division served in World War II during Operation Overlord and Battle of the Bulge. The Screaming Eagles also played a significant role in the Vietnam War and more recently in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Screaming Eagles has been one of the Army’s most decorated units.
An avid supporter of the San Antonio community, Primera Energy reveals that the “Screaming Eagle” wells honor the commitment and sacrifice of the 101st Airborne Division. Primera Energy supports the families of our troops and honor those who gave their lives while bravely defending the principles of freedom and justice.
