VIPSoftware Completes Transition from VerifIP, Adds Insurance and IT Industry Expertise to Board of Directors
St. Petersburg, FL, January 30, 2014 --(PR.com
)-- VIPSoftware Corp. announced today that it has completed its transition from VerifIP, LLC. With the transition VIPSoftware strengthens its position as a preeminent provider of web-based software solutions and services tailored to meet the complexities of the P&C Insurance Industry.
The new www.vipsoftware.com website also launched as part of the announcement.
Gavin Garbutt, who is a partner and recently joined the Board of Directors for VIPSoftware noted “It’s an exciting transition, the core technology was built to improve how organizations collaborated with customers and partners. To see it evolve into solutions for Insurers that is driving value and results is very rewarding.”
Gavin recently went through another successful transition as an original Founder and CEO of N-able Technologies, which was acquired by SolarWinds last year. Gavin was once again featured in MSPmentor’s Locked in the NOC (network operations center) list, which honors MSP Hall of Famers who have made a lifetime impact in the market. In addition to his broad management experience within the IT Industry, Gavin brings with him Insurance Industry domain knowledge, where he started his professional career.
James Makris, CEO and Founder of VIPSoftware, highlighted that one of the goals of assembling the management team was to "leverage experience gained from other industries that have gone through similar technology transformations as the insurance industry is now experiencing."
James also noted, “The success and vision that Gavin brings to the Board will be invaluable as we chart our future course for VIPSoftware. The core of N-able’s success is its relentless dedication to service with their customers and partners. This is the most important competency we want to emulate at VIPSoftware.
“Our goal is to bring transformative solutions to market that solve the business problems facing Insurers today. There are a lot of insurance solutions in the marketplace, but they are rigid in their processes and lack the technology flexibility needed to adjust to the evolving workflows within the industry.
“Traditional channels within the P&C Industry are being challenged by new business models and new players in the market. Insurance companies already entrenched in the industry need to upgrade their legacy systems and core processes to stay competitive. They are looking for solutions that allow them to diversify quickly and collaborate more effectively with their customers, agents and external partners.
“The other challenge faced by the Insurance Industry is around security, regulations and compliance. By offering a web-based platform, VIPSoftware is providing Insurance Companies with a pragmatic solution to their need to leverage outsourced resources, while maintaining compliance and organizational control over sensitive information.”
James summed it up by stating “The key is connecting all parties, whether internal or external, engaging in business with Insurers through a single platform to streamline communications and eliminate redundant, nonproductive processes.”
