)-- Shoot HD has placed orders for four of ARRI's highly anticipated new AMIRA camera, with delivery expected around April. What ARRI bills as its documentary-style camera' has the same sensor and exceptional image quality as the ALEXA, housed in a compact body more suited to one-man operation and hand-held use. It records ProRes formats up to 4:4:4 in 1080p HD and 2K up to 200fps to the new Cfast 2.0 card media, and features the same 14-stop dynamic range as the ALEXA. Its easily changeable lens mounts (PL, EF and B4) will maximise options in terms of lens choice and, combined with its image quality and practical design, will give it versatility not seen before in one camera.
Pioneering the field of high resolution acquisition, RED has released the new 6K RED DRAGON sensor, and Shoot HD is awaiting imminent upgrades to its EPIC cameras. With over nine times more resolution than standard HD, the sensor captures images with greater detail, dynamic range (at least 2 stops more than the EPIC-X or M) and lower noise than anything before. 6K footage, output at 4K or HD, appears more refined and detailed compared with that captured at lower resolutions, while giving further options to reframe, zoom and stabilise.
Shoot HD's camera range is currently led by the ARRI ALEXA, Canon C300, RED EPIC, and Sony F55 and F5, complemented by an array of quality 35mm prime and zoom lenses by Angénieux, ARRI/Zeiss, Canon, Cooke and Fujinon. This is supported by a wide range of heads and tripods, monitors, accessories and grip equipment. As more clients look to sourcing everything for their production in one place, Shoot HD has recently invested heavily in lighting kit, the latest including the new Kino Flo Celeb 200 (2ft) and 400 (4ft) and Litepanels 1x1 Bi-Color LED lights, and ARRI 1.2 and 2.5KW HMI Fresnels.
Shoot HD prides itself on taking a flexible, tailored approach to accommodating clients' budgetary and technical needs, and supports this with expert advice from over twenty years' experience working in the industry.
