Women Only Wing Chun Kung Fu Class launches in Signal Hill, Ca

Wing Chun Women introduces its three month basic training course at West Coast Wing Chun.

Long Beach, CA, February 12, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Wing Chun Women launches its three month, women only Wing Chun Basic Training program at West Coast Wing Chun in Signal Hill, Ca. on March 4, 2014. Classes will be held once a week on Tuesdays from 6 pm till 7:45 pm and will be taught by Lo Si (instructor) Kimmy Squiers, student of Grandmaster Samuel Kwok. Women will additionally be eligible to participate in the schools co-ed open training classes.

The basic training course teaches Wing Chun's basic principles and concepts, then puts them to use in fighting application, anti-grappling and self-defense scenarios. All students who pass through the Basic Training Course will have gained useful skill and knowledge that could be used in street self-defense situations.

Wing Chun is ideally suited for someone of a smaller stature as it uses positioning and turning, skill and scientific principles and concepts to overcome force, rather than brute strength. It was originated by a Chinese female nun, named Ng Moi, who then passed it to her disciple, a young girl named Yim Wing Chun, and is currently used by the Chinese army, other military and law enforcement specialists worldwide.

Wing Chun has recently gained much popularity to due to successful movies about its Grandmaster, Ip Man and The Grandmaster. Ip Man was Bruce Lee's Wing Chun teacher in Hong Kong.

Lo Si Kimmy Squiers currently heads up West Coast Wing Chun's Youth Association and assists Sifu Bryan Talbot in teaching Wing Chun Boot Camp classes.
