Project Blue Collar is an Official Merchant Sponsor of the One Million Pibble March

Project Blue Collar, a company devoted to improving the perception of shelter dogs and encouraging adoption as the first option, has chosen to be a merchant sponsor of the One Million Pibble March on Washington D.C. One Million Pibble March, headed by comedian Rebecca Corry and sponsored by her foundation, Stand Up for Pits is the first ever national march for pit bulls and will feature a rally of supporters from across the country along with special guests and keynote speakers.

Cincinnati, OH, February 15, 2014 --(PR.com)-- “Pitbulls are the number one most killed breed in U.S. shelters today. We want to be an advocate for any effort to end breed discriminatory legislation and educate the public about the plight of this breed at the hands of abusers,” said Kristin Waters, Co-Founder, Project Blue Collar.

The march is set to take place on May 3, 2014 on Capitol Hill, Washington, D.C., and all are welcome to attend (but please note: four-legged friends will need to stay home with a dog-sitter).

"On May 3rd, 2014 we are gathering on the lawn of the US Capital in an effort to end discrimination and abuse and by doing so, create safe and humane communities for humans and pets. The time is now to be the voice of millions of voiceless victims and put an end to fear bases ignorance and hate. This will be the first ever 'One Million Pibble March On Washington DC' and we will be heard! We want to offer solutions to ending the dog fighting epidemic and by doing both of these things, create safe and humane communities for humans and pets,” stated Rebecca Corry.

Project Blue Collar will be donating 25% of all sales made online at www.projectbluecollar.com/onemillionpibblemarch to help fund the march. All of Project Blue Collar’s merchandise is designed to raise awareness of rescue dog pride. The company’s signature Support the Underdog® Blue Collars, which are similar to cause-related silicone wristbands, are worn by dogs to identify them as a rescue. The collars provide an opportunity for dogs and owners to show their rescue pride and the campaign’s mission is to dispel the myth that shelter and rescue dogs are damaged.

“The collars serve as a conversation starter to help build the movement,” said Carole Feeny, president and co-founder of Project Blue Collar. “Telling the story of your adopted dog inspires others to help, and encourages them to adopt, not shop, when adding a pet to the family.”

80 days from the march and Stand Up For Pits is $20K away from from their goal. Project Blue Collar is honored to help fundraise for this historical event, so any purchases will help them meet their goal. The time to end abuse and discrimination is now - and by donating any amount, you become part of the solution. We are all in this together. Every dollar will help give voices to the millions of voiceless victims. Donate at www.gofundme.com/One-Million-PIBBLE-March
