Once announced, the 20 finalists will undergo an additional round of judging where top five finalists will be announced Wednesday, April 23. The top five finalists will have their paints created by Matisse Derivan to be sold exclusively on the Jerry’s Artarama website. The bestselling color after twelve months will win a grand prize trip for two to Australia.
“If you have ever wondered why paint companies don’t already make a color and you constantly find yourself mixing on your own palette, than this contest is right up your alley,” says Mike Marchetta, director of marketing for Jerry’s Artarama online division. “We are excited to get the online community involved and to see what new paint colors are created. This is a great opportunity for your work to be sold through a national retailor and win the trip of a lifetime to Australia!”
