Girls on the Run of Collier County and The GLITTER Foundation Announce Partnership in Glitter 5K Event

Girls on the Run of Collier County and The GLITTER Foundation, both local non-profits in the Naples, FL area are partnering up for the "I Don't Sweat, I Sparkle!" Glitter 5K and 1-Mile Shimmer Shuffle. The event will take place Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the vineyards Community Park in Naples at 8AM. Glitter attire is encouraged!

Naples, FL, March 02, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Girls on the Run of Collier County and The GLITTER Foundation announce they will be conducting the First Annual “I Don’t Sweat, I Sparkle” Glitter 5K on Saturday, April 12th, 2014 at the Vineyards Community Park in Naples, FL. All event proceeds will go to the Girls on the Run of Collier County and The GLITTER Foundation, both 501(c)3 non-profit organizations.

The race will start and finish at the Vineyards Community Park located at 6231 Arbor Blvd W. Registration and packet pick-up will start at 7:00am on race day and the race will begin at 8:00am. Registration fee will start at the “Sparkle Special” of $15 only until March 7th. After March 7th registration fee will be $25 and race day registration will be $30, youth registration fee is $10. Glitter attire is encouraged!

The first 150 5K registrants will receive a race t-shirt custom designed by Amanda Jaron of A. Jaron Fine Jewelry. They also welcome all participants to join them after the race for a Sparkling Toast. All fitness levels are welcome! For more information and to register visit: gotrcc.org.

The mission of Girls on the Run of Collier County is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. The GLITTER Foundation is a 501(c)3 charity dedicated to strengthening our community through art focusing on Art Education and Art Therapy for children of SWFL.

The goal of this event is to use the collaboration of two like-minded charities to raise awareness and inspire youth to be confident and self-respecting as well as encourage positive emotional, social, mental and physical development through an interactive and fun 5K event, giving all children, especially those less fortunate, the opportunity to succeed.
