Springfield, MO, March 03, 2014 --(PR.com
)-- Black River Imaging, a leader in the realm of custom photo printing, will mark 2014 as the last year with its original company founder, Roy Dameron, heading up the business. Dameron's departure, though, won't create a void within the company. Brian Rowland, an expert in both the photo lab and informational technology industries, has been selected to take Dameron's place in 2015. Rowland will assume his duties as director of operations when Dameron retires.
In addition to his 16 years working with color photo printing, Rowland holds bachelor's degrees in both accounting and computer science. He joined Black River Imaging, when it was known as Dameron Color Labs, in 1998 as a computer programmer then worked up to IT director the following year. Rowland spent nine years in banking before becoming a part of the photo printing industry.
Elise Ellis, Black River Imaging's social media representative, calls Rowland "extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the day to day operations at Black River Imaging. The expertise he brings to the table will help drive the company for many years to come."
Similarly, David Williams, who acts as Black River Imaging's general manager, praises Rowland's history on the tech side of the business. "In the years that Brian Rowland has been with Black River Imaging, the photo industry has evolved rapidly," Williams said. "Brian has been deeply involved in the technological changes that the company has made to maintain its leadership in what is now the personalized manufacturing industry. He has the knowledge, experience and talent to lead Black River Imaging boldly forward through the new challenges and opportunities we face."
