2014 EQUUS Professional Horseman Award Winner Announced
Gaithersburg, MD, March 05, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Florida farrier Kevin Young is the winner of the 2014 EQUUS Professional Horseman Award. Developed to recognize veterinarians, trainers, farriers and other professionals who go the extra mile for their clients and their horses, the Professional Horseman award contest is sponsored by Manna Pro, Absorbine®, Kentucky Performance Products and Freedom Health.
Entrants to the contest submitted 200-word essays nominating a professional horseperson in their life that has gone above and beyond to help keep their horse healthy and happy. Young was nominated by Lori Tankel of Florida.
In her winning essay, Tankel described Young’s dedication to the care of her horses, which often required spending many hours on the road and enduring challenging weather conditions. “I can go on and on about Kevin and his many attributes. He is always on time and extremely conscientious about doing a good job,” wrote Tankel. “I just wish I had more characters left to tell about him!”
