)-- DBTA International, Singapore based international design firm made a head-turning performance in the recently concluded Artists in Concrete Awards 2013-2014 held last February 6—8, 2014 at Hyatt Pune when it bagged the major award for Hospitality category (Design-In-Progress). The project entry, Amanora Clubhouse which stands majestic within the Amanora township development impressed the international juries coming from different parts of the world.
More than 300 designers, architects, landscape specialist, and other industry professionals gathered to celebrate the 15 winners during a ceremony and reception held at ICC Trade Center in Pune. Amanora Clubhouse Pune, dubbed as the largest clubhouse in Asia with size of 18,195 sqm, with architecture undertaken by Mr. Mahesh Nampurkar of Sumanshilp is viewed as “state-of-the-art” high-end membership club for people who wants to experience lifestyle. Developed by City Group, one of the leading real estate developers in Pune founded by Managing Director Mr. Aniruddha Deshpande, Amanora Clubhouse is part of the 400 acre new-age township Amanora Park Town. “Our vision is for the clubhouse to be the first-of-its-kind high end membership club not only for residents of Amanora Township but for anybody who wants to be part of that lifestyle,” said Mr. Deshpande.
Surrounded by lush greenery, dramatic pathways and decorative bodies of water the clubhouse will feature 26 elegantly designed suites, banquet hall, pre-function, All Day Dining, gym, theater, spa, gourmet shop, card room, kids room and business centre. “This would be the largest clubhouse any residential property can provide its residents, not to mention that it also features Sports Building and the Floating Restaurant as part of the whole property,” said Col. Kakati, General Manager for Operations of Amanora Park Town. “And, it would probably be the most interesting part of the township for its endless activities, it would create the 'statement' that the market requires.”
Executing such vision is internationally renowned designer, David Tokiwa. “The challenge in designing this clubhouse is the fact that the architectural structure was originally meant for a town hall,” said David Tokiwa, Managing Director of DBTA. “Each space was designed in such a way that it blends with the existing classical design of the exterior with a twist of contemporary touch. Members and guests can expect multi-functional and self supporting spaces that would cater for all ages,” added Mr. Tokiwa.
“The combination of functionality and design will be the runaway success formula of Amanora Clubhouse.” Given this level of success, expect it to be the future lifestyle destination in India.
