Jaebum Choo of Hanyang Univ. to Speak at Bioanalytical Sensors Mtg, May 22-23, 2014, Cambridge, MA.

Cambridge, MA, March 30, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Jaebum Choo, professor in the Department of Bionano Technology at the Hanyang University, to give a presentation titled “Application of SERS-based optofluidic sensor for highly sensitive biomedical diagnosis,” at the Inaugural Bioanalytical Sensors Conference, May 22 & 23, 2014 in Cambridge, MA.

Jaebum Choo is a Director of the Engineering Research Center (ERC) “Center for Integrated Human Sensing System” supported by the National Research Foundation of Korea, and he is also currently the Vice-President of the Korean Biochip Society. He received his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University in 1994 and has published more than 170 research papers in peer-reviewed SCI journals, contributed 5 book chapters, and holds 11 issued and pending patents, and has presented more than 90 invited talks at international conferences and workshops.

His research papers have been cited more than 3950 times. His current research interests are mainly centred on the development of miniaturized microfluidic sensing systems combining highly sensitive surface-enhanced Raman scattering detection technologies.
