The Logan Whitehurst Memorial Award for Excellence in Comedy Music is produced yearly by The FuMP, or The Funny Music Project. It was created in 2011 to honor artists who create funny songs and to pay tribute to Logan Whitehurst—a very talented and funny musician who passed away in 2006 at the age of 29. The FuMP is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to help pay for the statuettes that will be given out at the ceremony. The campaign can be found at tinyurl.com/loganawards.

This year’s ceremony will take place at FuMPFest on June 21st and will be hosted by Dr. Demento. The ceremony is open to the public and is free with a registration to FuMPFest which can be purchased at www.fumpfest.com.
