)-- BeerProv will return to the stage in Webster Hall’s most recently renovated space, The Marlin Room at Webster Hall.
BeerProv, created by Jim Robinson, is the live comedy show that generated a lot of heat in Toronto, Canada. The event began back in 2010 and has featured a brilliant set of performers including Colin Mochrie, Sean Cullen, Mark Little, Second City Alumni and many of the best improvisers in Canada. The show was featured during the Canadian Comedy Awards Festival in both 2010 and 2011.
The rotating cast of comedians improvise hilarious scenes based on audience suggestions. Performers are systematically eliminated by audience vote during the show until only one improviser remains. The winner is given the honor of drinking from the BeerProv Mug of Champions.
After the successful US debut of BeerProv last month, Robinson and his cast will once again take the stage in The Marlin Room at Webster Hall on June 13th at 8pm. This show will feature returning players and some familiar faces from the New York comedy scene.
Jim Robinson, creator of the hilarious event, is an actor, writer, improviser and comedian from Ottawa, Canada. Robinson’s credits include; many Second City productions, “founding member of the award winning sketch troupe Fratwurst, and he has performed in both the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival and the New York City Sketch Comedy Festival.”
