New York, NY, May 22, 2014 --(PR.com
)-- What do you do when your business reaches a significant milestone? New York City based wedding photographer Casey Fatchett is marking the 15th anniversary of his business by giving back to others.
"It seemed like the right thing to do," said Fatchett. "I have enjoyed a great deal of success over the last fifteen years and I wanted to spread some of that around!"
In 15 years, Fatchett has many accomplishments to his credit as a wedding photographer. He has won the prestigious "Best of The Knot" award three years in a row (2012-2014) as well as WeddingWire's Brides/Couples Choice Award (2012-2014). Fatchett was voted "Best Wedding Photographer in New York City" and "One of the Top 10 Wedding Photographers in the United States" by the Wedding Industry Experts Awards in 2013 and has also won The Rangefinder Magazine Wedding Photography Contest for "Best Bridal Party Portrait" in 2013.
Fatchett started giving back by launching his "50 Years of Marriage" photo project, in which he is giving away 50 free portrait sessions to married couples.
"I felt that the wedding industry is sometimes seen as too focused on the day of the wedding and not the marriage that happens afterwards," explained Fatchett. "So I decided to give a free session to a couple who has been married for a year, and one to a couple who has been married for two years, and so on up to 50 years."
Fatchett is also collecting each couple's stories and advice to share with couples who are planning their weddings.
But he has not stopped there. Until the end of the month of May, Casey Fatchett is donating a portion of the sales of any prints of his artwork to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. More details on this fundraiser can be found on his website.
