New National Satellite Radio Network from Streetcats and Reaching Up Radio to Unite People, Restart the American Dream

A new national satellite and internet radio network from Streetcats and Reaching Up Radio will seek to inspire people and unite them to work together to take back America. It will be free of politics and sensationalism and entertain as well as incubate helping projects.

Portland, OR, May 29, 2014 --(PR.com)-- CELEBRATE RADIO, a new 24/7 full-time national satellite radio network from Streetcats Foundation, unlike any other, is nearing launch later this year. Uniquely its overall, revolutionary message for radio is about taking back America by uniting to work together to restart the American dream again. Not only will the new network, through outstanding interviews, new and very different programs and a 2000 positive pop song playlist demonstrate that anything is still possible, but it will also help incubate off-the-air projects to change society. Its producers want its overarching theme to be "united we stand, divided we fall" and hope to inspire a day-after-day call to action to inspire real change that is needed.

Powerfully positive and passionately progressive, Celebrate Radio will be free of the "noise" of sensationalism, the usual partisan political talking heads, divisive and pessimistic outlooks and huge clusters of commercials.

Instead, it will work interactively with its initial estimated 300,000 listeners across the U.S. and in 21 other countries in the Western Hemisphere to solve all the unsolved problems lingering far too long. It seeks to end obstruction, too few jobs, corporate buying of our elections, intolerance, stagnant minimum wage, denial of climate change, bankrupting of college students, churches that don't help "the least of these," a VA not helping our veterans, blocked immigration reform, rampant gun violence, apathy, lack of respect, the war on women, poor schools, child poverty and abuse and more. Its producers, veteran radio broadcasters, seek to counter a broken corporate broadcast media of endless commercials, constant division, scandals and a lack of a needed new dialogue that deals with solving problems for everybody. It will also bring all the faiths together to work for the good of all.

The new full-time network is based on an award-winning weekly music and interview program, Reaching Up, that the same people produced and has been heard and raved about by listeners in 200 countries.

Meaningful in-person guests include the CEOs of Compassion International, U.S. Fund for UNICEF and Peace Child Israel, civil rights icons Hollis Watkins and Congressman John Lewis, Gandhi grandson Arun Gandhi and faith leaders from Pastors Rick and Kay Warren to Rabbi David Wolpe, Nicky Gumbel to Rev. Dr. Matthew Fox and the Dalai Lama, music icons and activists Peter Yarrow of Peter Paul and Mary and Tom Paxton, long-time country star George Hamilton IV to faith artists from Israel’s Rami Kleinstein and Idan Raichel to Craig Taubman, The Yeshiva Boys Choir, Mercy Me, Natalie Grant, The Newsboys, Delirious’ Martin Smith and Hillsong’s Darlene Zschech. Programs have also been recolrded in New York, London, Rome, Berlin, Dublin, Amsterdam, Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, Throughout its broadcast day, the network will also feature the voices of Nelson Mandela, Gandhi, Dr. Martin Luther King, Mother Theresa, Robert F. Kennedy and a dozen Nobel Peace Prize winners.

But CELEBRATE RADIO will also entertain with 49 programs and features not heard on most broadcast media, music shows of several genres and a very diverse Positively Music mix of pop songs from 15 countries, new and outstanding indie artists and the latest positive themed American pop. There will be special programs and podcasts for millenials and reaching baby boomers, the producers own archived interviews with the Mercury astronauts, President Kennedy’s press secretary Pierre Salinger, Jerry Garcia, The Smothers Brothers, The Loving Spoonful and stars from the Summer of Love and British Invasion.

Two thirds of the programming and "sound" of the station has been completed and with crowd funding, CELEBRATE RADIO hopes to soon re-launch its web stream so listeners can hear it anywhere in the world on the internet and web apps and once it updates that programming, make it available to 7 million people on the Galaxy 19 satellite coast-to-coast and across Mexico, Canada, Central America and as far as many of Australia’s largest cities. A later phase will also add the Hotbird 6 satellite to beam the network to the UK, Europe, Russia, North Africa and the Middle East. While an ambitious project, the network’s total yearly cost will only be $35,000.
