Sara Stokes Leads Support in LGBT Community by Participating in NYC Out-Fit Challenge Mud Run June 21 2014

P. Diddy's "Making the Band" Reality Star to Participate in Mud Run for LGBT Family Equality.

New York, NY, June 21, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The first ever National LGBT Mud Run, Out-Fit Challenge, (http://out-fitchallenge.com), announced today that "Making the Band" reality star and former Da Band singer, Sara Stokes, will be joining their fight for LGBT family equality. Sara Stokes is known for her roles in 2006's "YaDaDa Movie" and the 2002 ABC/MTV music reality series by P. Diddy, "Making the Band". Sara will soon be seen in a new avatar with her upcoming comeback singles, and brand new film projects this year. The Michigan born songstress is officially participating in Out-Fit Challenge's returning NYC mud run event. The event will take place on June 21st, 2014 at Tuxedo Ridge Ski Resort, 581 Route 17A West, Tuxedo, New York 10987 from 9 am to 5 pm with race waves beginning every 20 minutes. For this year’s New York event the charity of choice is the Family Equality Council which connects, supports and represents LGBT families across the US.

“It's wonderful to see celebrities and personalities such as Sara Stokes come out and show support for this amazing cause," begins founder and CEO of Out-Fit Challenge, Tory Fitzgerald. “Clearly Out-Fit Challenge is making the right moves to promote our mission and principles; we love that it's catching on! I created this organization in hope that it will bring people together from opposite ends of spectrum for one cause. I am happy to see that it has grown to extraordinary levels of participation, and am looking forward to see what else Out-Fit Challenge can accomplish.”

Out-Fit Challenge is the first of its kind LGBT National Mud Run event, with previous successful debuts in Miami and New York in 2013. This sporting event is back and features over 15 military-style obstacles that include various elements such as mud, water, and ice throughout the course including the “Cherry Picker,” “Is that Mud in Your Pants” and “Hello Sailor.” Finishing the course is a victory for everyone with an awaiting after party at the finish line hosted by local drag queens, and featuring DJs, muddy go-go boys, and lots of great food and drinks. Tickets to participate in the event are $55 per person with group discounts available. Spectator tickets are $10 per person. Registrants can sign up to participate at http://bit.ly/1iqlnkH.

Out-Fit Challenge will also be providing shuttle buses from New York City to the Tuxedo Ridge Ski Resort throughout the day. Apart from putting on race events, the organization aims to aid national and local charities that are making a significant difference in the lives of LGBT individuals across the United States.

"The Out-Fit Challenge Mud Run is a very unique event," states actress and singer Sara Stokes. “What they are doing with the event is innovative, and unlike other mud runs. I am overwhelmed with the invitation to participate in this amazing event, and am pleased to be able to support the LGBT community in their fight for Family Equality and equal rights.”
