Not-So-Serious Golf Outing Raises Over $60,000 to Prevent Child Abuse

11th Annual Tournament Rallies the Community Around Local Kids.

Fullerton, CA, June 29, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center today announced the success of the 11th Annual Not-So-Serious Golf Outing at Coyote Hills Golf Course on June 24, 2014 which raised more than $60,000 to fight child abuse.

“The Not So Serious Golf Outing is a great way for the community to come together in a lighthearted way to tackle the issue of child abuse,” said Scott Trotter, Executive Director of the Child Abuse Prevention Center. “We are grateful that so many people in Orange County care about our kids and made the day a success.”

Players enjoyed a Wonderland-themed “tee party” and nine holes of “not-so-serious” golf at Coyote Hills Golf Course. The event led by committee chairs Roxanne Day and Nancy Ponce was attended by 130 guests including Anne Scioscia, Patty Hatcher and Andrea Jepsen. Top auction prizes included a Mexican Retreat and Adventure in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, a luxurious Catalina Island getaway, a golf foursome package at top golf courses, a week in Silverthorne, Colorado and a golf getaway in Mount Hood, Oregon. The evening’s major sponsors included Angels Baseball LP, Ginali Associates, Novare National Settlement Service, Pizza Hut, Chicago Title, Pacific Premier Bank, First American Title Insurance Company, Jersey Mike's and Flavor Pursuit Bakeshop.
