International Wine Competition and Public Culinary Experience Coming to Long Beach

The country’s only non-profit grand cru. The Long Beach Grand Cru Wine Competition and Tasting Event brings wine makers and aficionados from around the world together for the social event of the summer benefiting Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles.

Who:
The 2014 Long Beach Grand Cru features regional food and wines from 23 states and 13 different countries, one-of-a-kind silent auction and live musical entertainment.

Why:
The Long Beach Grand Cru is considered one of the top international wine competitions in the U.S. and the major public tasting event attracts more than 1,200 guests every August. It is a primary fundraising vehicle for the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and The Greater Long Beach Medical Legal Partnership which also benefits Long Beach Children’s Clinic. The Foundation provides legal support in civil matters for low income citizens who meet Federal poverty guidelines. Annually, the Foundation provides legal services to thousands, including battered women and children, seniors, veterans, disabled and the homeless, and conducts educational programs and outreach to the community.
