Aeroskin’s small business story isn’t your typical small business story. In fact, the road towards almost two decades of service was full of challenges.
Foundation and humble beginnings
The operations were being run by Cecil, a lady who migrated from the Philippines. She was working for the owner of Aeroskin but she treated it like a business of her own. She knew all the different aspects of the business and she always made sure that everything was in tiptop shape.
Under new ownership
The year 2007 came, a lucky year indeed for her because even without any ambition of acquiring the business, she was able to do so. They closed the deal on July 7, 2007 thus, the company was re-named 777 Worldwide but Aeroskin sports apparel continued. Since then, Aeroskin has aggressively grown and reached clients from all over the world, and became a vendor for Amazon.com since 2008.
Great partnerships with regular clients will always be their biggest asset, but on top of that they want to further expand in order to reach a wider clientele. They have a good mix of clients but mostly come from the middle age group. They are releasing a new website which promises a more modern vibe in order to have a more exciting shopping experience and to appeal to younger generations. They were very aggressive in accomplishing this as 2014 is their 7th year as owners that's why they have put together a dedicated team to focus on the reengineering. They will still be carrying their timeless pieces but they will be diversifying to surfing products and other designs that are both functional and stylish.
Welcoming new partners
With Aeroskin’s proven product line of diving apparel and strong following base, the company would like to bring more partners on board by launching a cooperative marketing service which will introduce our current loyal customer base to other products offered by our marketing partners.
As Aeroskin approaches all these big changes, they have taken a big step as well in being more involved in the community. One thing that they have been doing already is providing employment to San Francisco locals. They are a small business but they are very determined to make it big in the industry. Because of their humble roots, Aeroskin will pledge $1 for every item you purchase to help a community-based business in low income neighborhoods in San Francisco. They want to see businesses grow just like how they have grown as a brand.
