Shands Jacksonville Medical Center Implements Digisonics Structured Reporting System for OB/GYN studies

)-- Shands Jacksonville Medical Center in Jacksonville, Fla. has implemented the Digisonics system for structured reporting of their OB/GYN ultrasound studies. The Digisonics system provides the hospital’s clinicians with fetal growth analysis, OB/GYN structured reporting and a comprehensive clinical database.
Shands Jacksonville Medical Center’s OB/GYN ultrasound structured reporting system will be enhanced with the Digisonics Search Package, a comprehensive, user-configurable search engine. This powerful tool enables users to quickly set up search criteria to extract clinical information from their OB/GYN database for research purposes and compile statistics required for accreditation.
OBLink interfaces will streamline connectivity between the Digisonics OB/GYN ultrasound structured reporting system and the hospital’s Philips iU22 ultrasound machines. Patient demographics and measurements will be autopopulated directly into the Digisonics OB/GYN ultrasound structured report, saving valuable data entry time and eliminating possible input errors. Shands Jacksonville Medical Center’s workflow will also be enhanced with HL7 interfaces to their EPIC EMR. A DigiLink interface will provide their clinicians with access to PDFs of the OB/GYN ultrasound structured reports from EPIC. As a result of the Digisonics interfaces, Shands Jacksonville Medical Center will enjoy a fully integrated electronic workflow for the most accurate and timely OB/GYN ultrasound report turnaround.
