Acclaim Academy Orange Campus Opening August 2014

Enrolling 750 students in first year.

Oralndo, FL, July 20, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Acclaim Academy Orange is a tuition-free military charter school opening August, 2014 on 7501 West Colonial Drive, Orlando, 32818. Previously a Super Target, this campus will be Acclaim Academy’s largest school to date at 104,000 square feet. The campus includes over 30 large classrooms and an indoor recreation center.

The mission of Acclaim Academy is to educate, train, and inspire students to become exemplary and well-rounded citizens, prepared for college and career success.

Existing Acclaim Academy schools cater to students with or without JROTC experience who desire high structure and a college preparatory curriculum. At Acclaim Academy, JROTC is not an elective, but something all students have in common as they begin their morning in first period JROTC drill and formation before going to academic classes. The military school culture is present throughout the school, as students must wear JROTC uniforms and earn rank through academic performance in addition to communication and leadership demonstration.

Initially Acclaim Academy Orange will enroll between 750-1,000 students, in grades 6-11. The school’s charter was written for a maximum enrollment of 1,400. Students may enroll from anywhere in Orange County and do not have to be zoned for the campus, though bus transportation is only planned for a radius of 10 miles.

Once open, this Acclaim Academy will create approximately 100 new jobs in the area and will provide another option for the growing number of students that Orange County must serve.
