Modio, the 3D Printing App Comes to Maker Faire Detroit

The past meets the future at Maker Faire this weekend at the Henry Ford Museum and the Modio team believes that future includes making your own toys.

Detroit, MI, July 25, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Modio, the 3D printing app released on the Apple iOS store this May. Modio was created to make it easy for families to design and customize their own creatures and characters and then easily bring their creations to life with a desktop 3D printer.

All weekend at the Modio Maker Faire booth, visitors can try the design features of the App, see how Modio parts are printed on a 3D printer and even sit down at the play table full of 3D printed interchangeable parts to see how powerful the Modio app can be.

This is the third, but very important, Maker Faire event this year for the Modio team based in Providence, Rhode Island. “Maker Faire Detroit is an exciting part of our plan. I grew up in Jackson and the Henry Ford Museum has always been one of my favorite places to explore. To have the chance to be here surrounded by inventions of the past and share a glimpse of the future is really exciting,” said Wayne Losey, Chief Creative & Playmaker at Modio.
