)-- Novus Content announces the November, 2014 nationwide release of The Wu-Tang Clan - "Popa Wu", A 5% Story documentary directed by Khalik Allah, featuring Popa Wu, RZA, GZA, Method Man, Ghost Face Killah, Redman, Rahim, KRS-One, and more. Emerging in 1993, The Wu-Tang Clan, comprised of nine MCs, became the most revolutionary rap group of the ‘90s and was quoted by Rolling Stone as “the best rap group ever”, with each member also establishing individual breakout success. The newly reunited Wu-Tang Clan is releasing their greatly anticipated album A Better Tomorrow also in November, 2014.
The Wu-Tang Clan group’s founder and mentor, "Popa Wu", is one of the original 5 Percenters. He's an expert on the philosophy of the Five-Percent Nation, which reflects the concept that ten percent of the people of the world know the truth of existence, and those elites opt to keep eighty-five percent of the world in ignorance and under their controlling thumb; the remaining five percent are those who know the truth and are determined to enlighten the rest. Popa Wu is the voice you hear on the intro to "Wu-Tang Forever", Ghostface Killah's "Ironman", Raekwon's "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx", and can be heard giving teachings on other Wu-Tang tracks.
Located in Santa Monica, California, Novus Content is a newly formed cutting-edge distribution company that approaches film distribution with the filmmaker in mind. Their mission statement is to implement a strategic, multi-platform release strategy for the filmmaker.
