Hurricane, UT, August 14, 2014 --(PR.com
)-- Theater students at Utah’s premier therapeutic boarding school, Diamond Ranch Academy, were pleased to complete a successful opening night for their most recent production “Phantom of the Grand Ole Opry.” In keeping with the Rattlin’ D Playhouse style, this production spoofed the nationally renowned and Tony award winning “Phantom of the Opera.” Students participating in the performance enjoyed sharing their skill and practicing their art while keeping a smile on the face of each audience member. School officials and students are pleased with the opening night’s turnout, and look forward to many more successful shows throughout the show’s performance period.
The story follows Billy Ray Doofus, Wynonna Jugg, and other colorful characters on their quest to find the Phantom of the Grand Ole Opry. A series of mysterious events allude to the Phantom’s existence in the beginning of the story, however, it’s up and coming country superstar, Christina Dea’s reports that reassure the audience’s suspicions throughout the play. Chistina Dea is tutored by the Phantom and soon finds herself unable to escape from his control. Needless to say, the Phantom’s actions take Opry goers by storm. See details below.
This particular production has become a crowd favorite at the Rattlin’ D Playhouse, putting a fun spin on a Broadway classic. For more information on show times and production duration, please visit the Rattlin’ D Playhouse website at http://www.rattlindplayhouse.com/.
