CubicleSoft Announces Open Source Single Sign-On Solution

Single Sign-On Server and Client is a secure, open source, scalable sign in solution for any web or native application project.

Tucson, AZ, August 17, 2014 --(PR.com)-- CubicleSoft today announced the version 3.5 release of the company's standalone Single Sign-On (SSO) Server and Client software solution. The SSO Server/Client solution is secure, open source, scalable, and feature rich. The SSO server is written in PHP and has support for several popular backend databases. SSO clients are available for PHP and ASP.NET hosts. Native application frameworks are also available to software developers for Android, iOS, and Windows Phone 8 as well as desktop Windows, Mac, and Linux development. The SSO Server comes with a number of default providers for signing in including Generic Login, LDAP (Active Directory), and Remote Login providers, and social media providers for Facebook, Google, and LinkedIn accounts.

The SSO Server is highly configurable, scalable, extensible, and ready to meet a wide variety of enterprise-class needs. The SSO Server and Client integrates into both new and existing environments and scales out quickly across multiple servers. Cross-domain and Remote Login support allows for securely signing into public facing web applications using internal Active Directory credentials without modifying any firewall rules or breaking internal corporate policies. The server can also go offline for several minutes without affecting already signed in users.

Additional features in the server include defensive technology which stops automated bots through a wide variety of tactics including rate limiting, random field names, DNS Reverse Blacklist (DNSRBL) checks, and IP geolocation checks. The server can also display marketing or other messages after signing in but before returning to the client application and returning to where the user left off when they were required to sign in.

The SSO Server is easy to set up and configure through its flexible point-and-click administrative interface. Administrators can quickly locate accounts, make changes, and create new accounts on behalf of users. Administrators can also configure the various included sign in providers in a matter of minutes.

The SSO Server and Client saves time and effort. It can take a web developer up to six months to create a sign in system that is ultimately less flexible, less secure, and with fewer features. The SSO Server and Client can be deployed within just a few hours by following the step-by-step directions found in the documentation.

Single Sign-On Server/Client is an open source product. It is dual-licensed under both the MIT and LGPL licenses and is therefore free for both personal and commercial use. Financial donations to the project go toward future development.
