Mental Fitness, Inc. Announces Groundbreaking Partnership with New Mental Health Tech Startup
Spartanburg, SC, August 25, 2014 --(PR.com
)-- Mental Fitness, Inc., a national nonprofit organization is excited to be on board for the launch of b: resilient, a revolutionary new gateway to mental health prevention resources. For the first time, individuals, corporations and professionals can find cutting-edge tools to energize prevention efforts in their community; including the latest research, evidence-based programs, transformative exercises and more.
This innovative new resource is the first product to be rolled out by Resiliency Technologies, a new company started by Mental Fitness Founder Robyn Hussa Farrell and her husband Tim Farrell, Senior Political Producer for NY1 News in New York City. “We have spent the last 8 years designing programs to raise awareness about eating disorders, addictions and serious mental illness in schools and found that educators and families didn’t have access to latest research. More importantly, we have seen firsthand how few evidence-based tools exist to guide both those who are suffering and the professionals who are trying to help them and we want to do our part to produce more.” With the help of some of the country’s leaders in the tech field, Hussa Farrell and her husband built the b: resilient platform while taking part in Spartanburg, South Carolina’s Iron Yard digital health accelerator this year.
“Not only are we creating a go-to site for both professionals and families to find the information they need, b:resilient will bring together the best and brightest in the mental heath field to form a powerhouse think tank for research and new life-changing products.”
Professionals, educators and nonprofits are invited to participate in b: resilient and share their research, tools and to discover new avenues of collaboration.
This is the first all-out attempt to unite prevention researchers from varying disciplines. “We are doing this because we have held the hands of too many parents who have lost their children and worked with far too many families whose loved ones suffer from a wide range of mental illnesses. Enough is enough.”
