How to Select the Right Entertainment Company

Even industry professionals agree party entertainment is critical to event success. Xplosive Entertainment has put some important points out there to help during this upcoming holiday and bridal season.

Marlboro, NJ, September 24, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Holiday and Bridal season is here. It’s about that time to book vendors for that company holiday party, wedding, sweet sixteen, and Bar/Bat Mitzvah. Top industry professionals usually agree that an entertainment company should be your top priority. Michael Langsner, Vice President at Xplosive Entertainment, encourages customers to “do their homework.” Ask for referrals from family, friends, other vendors, as well as by checking online reviews. Another way is to see them in action go to their event showcases.

Unfortunately, not every entertainment company is honest about their services, and/or qualifications. So read carefully through the reviews and look for reviews that are highly personal and descriptive of the services performed by company XYZ (and mention those they worked with by name). These can all be key points to make sure the reviewers are in fact past clients as well as ensure they have the history of performing to the standards they claim. In discussing this topic, Michael Langsner refers to some of the misleading company tactics he has seen in the business is when the, "…demo video they display show a great party, but they mask the actual event audio by overlaying a song." Or worse yet, when photos posted to a company’s website are simply stolen from Google. Sadly, it isn’t uncommon for companies to do things like create false reviews and alter promotional videos to such a high degree that they falsify their services.

Obviously no two entertainment companies are the same. Despite the fact that Company A and B seem to have similar equipment, how they manage, handle, and stage their services can be very different. These are just part of what determines the cost for your entertainment company and one of the biggest factors is the entertainer themselves. In selecting the right MC or host for your event, make sure that person is eloquent, energetic, and interesting. The personality and experience level of the person on the microphone dictates the tone of your event. Those traits are the core of how entertainment companies calculate their cost
