Muslims for Ohio Political Action Committee Invites Candidates Sen. Nina Turner & Rep. Connie Pillich to Break the Ice with the Ohio Muslim Community

Columbus, OH, October 17, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Muslims for Ohio Political Action Committee (MOPAC) is hosting a free Meet & Greet event with candidate for Secretary of State, Sen. Nina Turner, and candidate for State Treasurer, Rep. Connie Pillich, this Sunday afternoon beginning at 4:00 p.m., October 19th at Monaco’s Palace in northeast Columbus. MOPAC is choosing to support these women for their commitment to fairness and social justice.

MOPAC is an organization committed to the political empowerment of the Ohio Muslim Community. There is a large and growing population of Muslims in the greater Columbus area. Thus, it had the ability to play a significant role in determining the outcome of recent elections. MOPAC will continue strengthening the community's electoral power moving forward and its impact on Ohio politics.

Just this past month, MOPAC called on mosques and Muslim organizations all over the state to hold voter registration drives. It plans to organize the community this November during Election Day as well.
