Fall Clocks - Elegant Wall Clocks Featuring Locally Sourced Wooden Faces, Unique Two Part Leaf Hands and Sweeping Quartz Movements

Patrick Marini developed Fall Clocks with the help of local suppliers and manufacturers. Each clock face is CNC cut from 3/4” solid wood and features a simple marker design. The faces are hand sanded and sealed with a water based UV clear coat. Local wood species were chosen for their unique tone, figure and corresponding leaf design, which form the hands. These include red oak, maple, heart pine and walnut.

Freehold, NJ, November 05, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Twentypence, a product design studio in New Jersey has launched a Kickstarter campaign for Fall Clocks - elegant wall clocks featuring solid wood faces, unique leaf hands and sweeping quartz movements.

The hands are laser cut from aluminum and powder coated to produce a high quality, bright and even color finish. The unique two-part design connects one an hour to form a perfect symmetrical leaf shape. The clocks also feature mini quartz movements with a sweeping second hand function. This has the added benefit of being quieter with no clicking sound.

A limited number of clock faces (100 total) will be crafted from salvaged wood, sourced from 19th century structures across the USA. These include two barns and a local silk mill. Each reclaimed face will feature unique marks and blemishes, which makes these one-of-a-kind clocks very sought after.

Backers of Fall Clocks can choose from rewards which include one, two, three or all four clock designs. Shipping is included within the USA for all reward levels. The project has a funding goal of $3000, which expires December 12 at 12pm. For more information, check out the Kickstarter page.

From the designer:

“I strive to create products that are made of high quality materials and produced to a high level of detail. For this reason, set up and manufacturing costs can be high, especially when parts are hand-crafted and hand-assembled.

The funds raised on Kickstarter will allow me to order the components in larger quantities and bring the production costs down. This allows me to offer better value to my backers. It’s also a great opportunity to share my products with a community who truly appreciate and enjoy being part of the process.”
