Tapatap Launches B2B and Consumer Contest Widget

Any marketer can build and engage their community with branded Contest Widgets for their site

San Mateo, CA, November 08, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Tapatap, the world’s first mobile and web social contest community, today launched its B2B (white-label) contest widget empowering any marketer to publish a branded photo contest to their web site, mobile site, or select social networking pages such as MySpace, Facebook, MyYearbook, etc. Marketers can now create user-generated or pre-defined photo (closed to user submissions) contests for their brand or product within minutes and then publish to their site, any HTML page, MySpace page, consumer blog, etc.
“For any marketer, the Tapatap contest widget is a very powerful viral marketing platform,” said Andy Riedel, President and CTO. “The teen and Gen Y consumers want to contribute to brands and the photo contest widget enables this audience to be creative, showcase their personalities, and play for fun or prizes.”

For the launch, Tapatap has partnered with K5.com, ModernMom.com, DirtBag.com and PlayboyU.com, by providing the branded contest widget to their external sites. The contests include:

PlayboyU Best Halloween Costume
K5.com Best Skate Trick Photo
DirtBag Show us your Dirt Look
ModernMom.com Cutest Kid in Costume

PlayboyU.com, is running a Best Halloween Costume photo contest for their community to win a Playboy U prize pack. All parameters of the contest widget were customized to meet Playboy U’s specifications including look-and-feel and community features.

“We are always looking for interactive content to add to our community features,” said Chip Ross, Director at Playboy U. “Tapatap’s photo contest widget allowed us to launch a Halloween Costume contest for our members in less than a day with minimal effort.”

Tapatap also launched its direct to consumer contest widget enabling any Tapatap member to post any contest from www.tapatap.com to their MySpace, Facebook, Hi5, Bebo, Friendster, Orkut, or any page supporting embed codes. Tapatap’s members can now create a contest—ie “Best Pic from Last Night’s Party”, post to their social networking profile, and invite friends to vote all within the member’s profile page. From the contest widget on the social networking site, users can vote, enter photos, comment, share, and win tap points, all without leaving your friend’s profile page.

“Our mission is to give consumers the power to post and share any contests where they want whether it’s their blog site, social networking profile, or any HTML web page,” said Riedel. “Our members have been ecstatic about the ability to create user generated contests, and publish on their social networking profiles. Contest widgets are the next step in the evolution of picture slides shows on profile pages.”
