Independent Living Skills Students’ Christmas Market Stall

Oswestrye, United Kingdom, December 18, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Students from the Work and Independent Living Skills Department at Walford and North Shropshire College (WNSC) recently staffed a market stall at the Oswestry Christmas Fair; the students have made a range of products including bath bombs, Christmas cards, Christmas wreaths, hot chocolate spoons, Christmas tree decorations and pine cone decorations.

The students who took part in the market stall ranged from entry level two to level one for their Independent Living Skills unit. For their Enterprise Project, the students had to choose what products to make and stock their market stall with and then complete market research to see how popular they would be. They then designed, and made their products before looking at costs (how much to sell their products for to make a profit).

They students sold the products they made at the Oswestry Christmas Fair and then at stalls in WNSC during lunchtime this past week. Some of the products such as the spoons were so popular, they sold out!
