Managing Director of AoC Sport Visits WNSC

Oswestry, United Kingdom, December 20, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The College Sportmaker at Walford and North Shropshire College (WNSC), Benji Evans, together with the Director of Oswestry Campus, Andy Holland, were lucky enough to meet the new Managing Director of AoC Sport, Marcus Kingwell, last week. Marcus was appointed after AoC Sport formed following the merger of British Colleges Sport, English Colleges FA and the Association of Colleges sport policy team in August 2014. Marcus worked previously for London Sport, where he led the creation of a new, city-wide organisation for community sports development. Marcus also has over 15 years of senior experience in sport, leisure, health and wellbeing.

Benji commented, "We feel fortunate that out of all the College’s in the country, Marcus took the time to come and visit us. It was a great opportunity for us to showcase our achievements and it provided Marcus an insight into the role of the College Sportmaker within a rural College environment. We are pleased that Marcus can take back to HQ everything we do and hopefully this will help us secure further funding for projects in the future."
