FPRA Southwest Florida Chapter to Present “The ABC’s of ESC to FSW”

Learn how Edison State College made the change to Florida SouthWestern State College.

Fort Myers, FL, May 01, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Teresa A. Morgenstern, Director of Communications and Public Information Officer for Florida SouthWestern State College, will serve as speaker at the next luncheon meeting of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) Southwest Florida Chapter. “The ABC’s of ESC to FSW” will be presented from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5 at Florida SouthWestern State College.

Morgenstern will provide a case study of the rebranding of FSW. She'll give attendees a backstage view of the largest rebranding in Southwest Florida. The College serves the largest region in the state (more than 5,440 square miles), which means a widely disparate set of stakeholders. She will explain the complexities of strategy and implementation; and describe the special challenges for such a rebranding of a public institution, which is subject to sunshine laws. Plus, she'll provide an exclusive preview of upcoming communications supporting the new brand.

Morgenstern brings over 20 years of public relations and marketing experience to the discussion. In addition to her current position she also served as the public relations director for the Taste of Collier for 10 years, and was selected by Gulfshore Business magazine as a Top 40 Under 40 business professional. She has won multiple Image Awards from the Florida Public RelationsAssociation (FPRA) for excellence in public relations, in addition to five Telly Awards for excellence in short videos and television commercials.

The cost for attending the meeting is $25 for members, $30 for non-members and $15 for students. It will take place in Building U, Room 102 at Florida SouthWestern State College, 8099 College Parkway in Fort Myers (visit www.fsw.edu for campus map). Guests must RSVP online at www.fpraswfl.org.
