Mr. Hunter has over 30 years of experience in the engineering field. He is the Senior Wastewater Process Engineer at Black & Veatch which is an international engineering, consulting and construction company targeting the following industries: energy, water, telecommunications, Federal and management consulting. He specializes in disinfection, filtration and wastewater treatment and reuse. Mr. Hunter is affiliated with the W.E.F, A.S.C.E., I.U.V.A, and A.A.E.E.S. Over the past 30 years he has been involved in a wide range of projects around the world ranging from industrial discharge issues in Valdez, Alaska to reuse in Melbourne, Australia. He has dealt with screening and grit of wastewater for the Department of Environmental Protection, New York City, NY to planning for direct potable reuse for the Oklahoma City Water Utilities Trust in Oklahoma City, OK. He was one of the main authors of Black & Veatch’s update to “White’s Handbook of Chlorination and Other Disinfectants.” He has made over 300 presentations on various wastewater topics and has over 40 published articles. He is a professional registered engineer in the State of Kansas and is a Board Certified Environmental Engineer.
