South Nassau Communities Hospital's Mental Health Counseling Center Will Care for Displaced Patients

SNCH Mental Health Counseling Center has provided high quality behavioral health services to residents of the South Shore communities for over 50 years.

Oceanside, NY, July 13, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Patients who utilized the Catholic Charities Freeport-based Outpatient Mental Clinic, which closed recently, are able to access the behavioral health care services they need at South Nassau Communities Hospital’s Mental Health Counseling Center in Baldwin.

SNCH Mental Health Counseling Center has provided high quality behavioral health services to residents of the South Shore communities for over 50 years. The Center is conveniently located at 2277 Grand Ave. in Baldwin near major roadways, including Merrick Rd. and Sunrise Highway, as well as access points for public transportation.

The center offers a wide range of outpatient services involving more than 45 professionals representing the disciplines of psychiatry, psychology, social work, and activities therapy. A variety of modalities are available including individual, group and family psychotherapy. This includes:

Adult Psychotherapy and Psychiatry – Medication management and psychotherapy are available on an individual and group basis;

Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy - Individual, group and family psychotherapy for children and their families along with child psychiatric services;

Partial Hospitalization Program - Intensive therapy, support and medication monitoring for patients who are in need of acute, daily psychiatric treatment.

Intensive Outpatient Program - Intensive therapeutic program for patients with psychiatric symptoms who would benefit from group and/or individual therapy and medication several days per week.
