Gentlemen and Scholars Announce New Single, Live Wire

Gentlemen and Scholars announce the release of their latest single, Live Wire. Live Wire is the band's first single release since 2014's County Hound Ramble and serves as the first release from their new recording studio.

Evansville, IN, August 28, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Gentlemen and Scholars announce the release of their highly anticipated new single, "Live Wire." "Live Wire" is the band's first single release since 2014's "County Hound Ramble" and marks the high energy level of that track with a refined approach to the rawness of the band's earlier albums "Thick As Mud" (2013) and "Bad Apples" (2011). In late 2014, the band took some time off from performing live to focus on building their new recording studio, film and produce their upcoming web series and documentary, and to begin working on their new album. More details on the new album will be released in the following months along with a live DVD and EP slated for a holiday 2015 release. The Ripple Effect recently praised the band's work on their previous single, "County Hound Ramble," stating "Galey has one of the most captivating voice I've heard in ages. Thick and whiskey and gumbo fed, it's rife with emotion and dirt. Love it. The rest of the band is also killer with loose guitars, a nasty slide action, some tasty organ, and horns. This song is a killer summertime stomp."
