The Republican Club of Longboat Key Announces Sarasota County School Board Member, Bridget Ziegler as October 20th Meeting Speaker

Sarasota, FL, September 04, 2015 --(PR.com)-- On October 20th, 2015 Sarasota County School Board member, Bridget Ziegler, will address the Republican Club of Longboat Key to discuss her proposal to move the School Tax Referendum to the 2016 General Election, in an effort to save taxpayers approximately $330,000, among other pressing issues facing the District. Meetings take place the third Tuesday of each month at The Longboat Key Club, Sands Point John Ringling Room, 220 Sands Point Road, Longboat Key, FL 34228. Bridget Ziegler was appointed by Florida Governor Rick Scott to the Sarasota County School Board on June 6, 2014 and has since has won election in November 2014. She is a businesswoman, active member of the community, wife and mother of a young child. Bridget is a Commercial Producer for AI Purmort Insurance, responsible for managing the agency's commercial accounts and facilitating new business development. In her position, she is continually communicating and engaging with countless business owners and community leaders throughout Sarasota County.

In addition to her business career, Bridget is an active member of the community. She has been involved with numerous organizations across Sarasota County such as Children First, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Girls Inc., Goodwill-Manasota, and the Asolo Repertory Theater, to name a few. Bridget is also very active with the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, where she currently sits on their Leadership Council, The Talent Development Council and Chairs the Youth Leadership Program for high school Junior’s.

In 2012, Bridget was recognized by the Gulf Coast Business Review as one of the region's up and coming business leaders" as she appeared on their "40 under 40" list for her involvement in both business and the community.

When they aren't attending community events, Bridget and her husband Christian enjoy taking their daughter Reagan to the amazing parks and beaches across Sarasota County.
