Denise Felipe-Adams Announces Her Candidacy for District Leader in Northeast Brooklyn
Brooklyn, NY, September 11, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Community Activist and Organizer Denise Felipe-Adams is pleased to announce her candidacy for the elected position of District Leader in her Assembly District. A longtime resident of Bushwick, the 54th Assembly District covers as well, a part of Bedford Stuyvesant, Cityline, East New York and Cypress Hills.
"I have always enjoyed being active in my neighborhood and this endeavor is a natural progression to my everyday passion of helping my community. I will continue to provide assistance to the organizations near and dear to me, causes that I and so many of my neighbors relate to as well as my duties to the faith based organizations within my community. With this new journey I hope to engage even more of my community into participating and actively contributing to the changes that we are all facing in New York City. May my voice in this new position enhance and give volume to all of theirs."
Denise Felipe-Adams is the executive Director for the Honorable William C. Thompson Presidential Leadership Council, an organization that works towards providing High School students with internships and mentors for a better opportunity towards their goals in college. She is also an Assistant Governor for Rotary International in North Brooklyn.
Ms. Felipe-Adams does not take the position lightly. So many are not aware of the importance of such an office and it is her position to insure that all of her neighbors, within her district and elsewhere, realize just how taking these first steps toward engaging the community can be beneficial to everyone looking for a better quality of life in New York CIty. The election will be in September of 2016.
