Fremont, CA, September 26, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Fremont Education Foundation is holding their 11th annual Fremont Run 4 Education 5K, 10K and Kids’ Runs on Sunday, October 25, from 7:30 to 11:30 am. The run is returning to Niles Elementary School at 37141 Second Street and will take runners down the Alameda Creek Trail. Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome to attend the race which is being hosted to raise funds to benefit the Guy Emanuele Sports Fund (GESF).

Since 2003, the GESF is dedicated to enabling greater participation in school-sponsored sports programs, by granting individual students with scholarships to help offset costs of equipment, sportswear, transportation costs, fees, shoes, sports bags, tournament fees, and other related items required for participation. Currently, the focus is scholarships to enable Fremont Unified School District high school students to participate in after-school sports and cheerleading.

Lam Research is once again the presenting sponsor of the run along with returning gold sponsors; Fremont Family & Sports Chiropractic, Fremont Bank Foundation, Art of Living Foundation and Learning Bee.

Last year, the Fremont Run 4 Education boasted over 450 runners and walkers. “I can’t wait to see how many students, families, and teachers sign up. Especially since the school with the most runners will win the $1000 elementary school challenge,” comments Kathy Kimberlin, President of the Fremont Education Foundation.
