31 Artists Won a Spot at the Miami Photo Salon, an Event Created by the Cuban American Phototheque Foundation

Miami Photo Salon at Spectrum Art Show released the list of artists participating in the exhibit, that grants a $2500 Gran Prix Best Image every year. The Salon will be taking place inside the famous Art Fair next December 2-6, during the world renowned Miami Art Week in Midtown Miami, simultaneous to Art Basel in Miami Beach.

Miami, FL, October 23, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Miami Photo Salon released the list of artists participating in Sectrum Art Show next December 2-6 during Miami Art week. The Miami Photo Salon Festival Committee, after express gratitude to the many artists interested in secure a spot in the 2015 Salon, shared the names of the artists selected among all of them:

The Salon is a juried exhibition chosen by a panel of three jurors that included Switzerland-based photographer Luc Chessex, Miami-based visual artist Nereida Garcia Ferraz; and Miami-based radio host Pepe Forte, also a graphic designer, and photographer. Isabel Sierra, Executive Director of Miami Photo Salon Festival, said, “We are please with the work of the jurors, who are authorities in their field, and were committed to uncover works that are unpredicted and significant from their expert perspective.”

“Miami Photo Salon Festival’s main goal is to open a door for experienced as well as emerging and mid career artists to participate in top-quality visual arts events, and welcomes the interaction of photographers from all over the US -and other parts of the world- with the diverse communities across South Florida, by involving themselves in the several group exhibits that will take place in Miami-Dade County as part of this Festival,” Sierra explained. In addition, Sierra invited the public to visit the exhibit and admire the photographs of the selected artists.

Besides, Miami Photo Salon Festival, an International Festival of Fine Art Photography & Art Photo related, announced other exhibits/venues that are part of the 2015 Festival; Through the Women’s Eyes, A Celebration of Women Photographers in South Florida will be opened from November 20th to January 29th, 2016 at the NPTI’s Art Gallery. Also a group show, Made in Miami, Contemporary photography, will take place at Del Castillo Art Studio in Hialeah from November 28 to December 30th.

Miami Photo Salon Festival is an event created by Cuban American Phototheque Foundation. In 2012, the Cuban American Phototheque Foundation became incorporated and organized its first Board of Directors. The CAPF is being officially recognized as a 501 (c) (3) not for profit institution. As a nonprofit organization the Foundation is supported by donations, grants, print sales, memberships, support services, educational programming, and workshops. The Festival is an event put together with the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.
