Beckatt Solutions Showcased 3D Printing Technology on Global 3D Printing Day, Thursday, December 3rd

Beckatt Solutions, a leading Midwest provider of 3D printing technology and services, hosted an open house for visitors and showcased a number of 3D printing technologies at their office on Thursday, December 3rd, as part of 3D Hubs’ Global 3D Printing Day celebration.

Elgin, IL, December 04, 2015 --(PR.com)-- During the hours of 12:00-6:00 pm, the Beckatt office was open to visitors to learn about the history and future of 3D printing, as well as see demonstrations of a number of 3D printers. Throughout the day, Beckatt hosted speakers to talk about 3D printing, showcased a variety of 3D printed parts in different materials and allowed guests to see the printers in action. Beckatt employees also helped visitors with their 3D files, if they had something they wanted to have printed.

Beckatt Solutions demonstrated Mcor Technologies and their line of paper-based 3D printers, including the Matrix 300+ and the Iris, the only 3D printer to meet the International Color Consortium’s standard for HD color accuracy. Beckatt Solutions also showed the MakerBot Replicator, a commercially-available desktop 3D printer, and the MarkForged Mark One Composite 3D Printer, which uses continuous fiber reinforcement inside nylon parts to provide extremely durable and light-weight 3D prints. Prints from Mcor, MakerBot and MarkForged were on display for attendees to examine, and live demonstrations of all three printers were available.

Global 3D Printing Day was being organized and hosted throughout the world by 3D Hubs, an online platform connecting 3D printer owners, known as “Hubs”, and potential 3D printer users. Hundreds of Hubs around the world hosted similar events and meet ups on December 3rd.
