Proceeds from GOG’s signature annual fundraiser support the organization’s mission to provide emergency-relief financial assistance and connections to other vitally needed resources to local residents facing critical, life-altering situations who have nowhere else to turn. The virtual raffle is a new addition to the fundraiser, which draws several hundred attendees every year. Corporate sponsorship opportunities are available and silent auction items are being requested to help make the event as successful as possible.

“Life is fragile and we all know someone who has been touched by tragedy or a devastating circumstance,” said D. Jane Albanese, founder and president of Giants of Generosity. “Purchasing raffle tickets for yourself or as gifts for friends and family, and attending the food and wine showcase are fun ways to support our important work and make a difference in the lives of others in our area.”

Recent cases include getting a home elevator donated and installed for a wheelchair-bound man to gain access to life-saving dialysis treatments; financial assistance for a family suffering through terminal illness and long-term unemployment; and $1,000 gift cards for two families displaced by the devastating apartment complex fire in Edgewater.
