Imani Lee, Inc. Joins NAFSA: Association of International Educators

The organization centers around policy-making, advocacy, and career development within the international education community.

San Diego, CA, January 22, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Imani Lee, Inc. has joined the Association of International Educators (NAFSA).

NAFSA’s mission is to serve the international education community through promotion of public policy, career development, and fostering professional communities. Its reach extends to governments, students, colleges and universities, serving as a conduit for standards in international education.

Imani Lee joined NAFSA in order to collaborate with educators and policy directors while also expanding its influence in the educational marketplace. Every year, thousands of foreign students and foreign nationals living in the United States and its territories apply to colleges and universities within the United States. As part of the application process, many students are required to provide their prospective school with academic records and transcripts, financial records, immigration papers, and other associated documentation. Given that this paperwork is nearly always in a foreign language, American universities require certified English translations or gistings in order to determine the student's academic eligibility.

The Imani Lee team has prepared several hundreds of these documents for students from all around the globe, working with the students and professional linguists to ensure each document is accurately translated and/or gisted and contains the necessary certifications and notarization to satisfy academic scrutiny.

“Our existing relationships with institutions such as Kaplan College, San Diego State University, University of California San Diego and their student bodies have reinforced the need for professional language services during these critical application processes and during the institutions outreach for additional international students,” said Imani Lee’s Chief Executive Officer, Lee E. Martin. “Our team is not just helpful to students, but also available to admissions offices for consulting on grade equivalency, external outreach to foreign students, certified translations, and Facetime or Skype interpretation calls. It really is a win-win situation for everyone involved.”

In 2016, Imani Lee plans to enhance and continue the expansion of its services for educational related institutions. These include grade equivalency verification, multi-lingual curriculum development, and other offering that will further assist institutions in evaluating international student applications. The company’s membership in NAFSA provides guidelines and resources for continued success in assisting international students and the institutions looking to provide them with a quality education.
