This tour is set to depart from July and is suitable for anyone with a moderate level of fitness.

What to expect
The tour starts by riding along the Andaman Coast of Thailand on mostly flat terrain through thick forests and plantations; along country back roads and through local villages; into lush national parks with impressive waterfalls and warm hot springs. There are charming towns to visit along the way: the colonial town of Georgetown on Penang Island; the murals of Ipoh and the historical city of Malacca, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008. The tour finally ends in the dynamic city-state of Singapore for more action.

Go to distance:
This 15-day tour includes 13 days of cycling from 85 km to 117 km per day clocking up a total of 225 km. The tour, which starts in Krabi and ends in Singapore, is predominately on tarmac and is in relatively good condition with occasional challenging ups and thrilling downs. The tour can be enjoyed by anyone with a relatively good level of physical fitness.

Expert guides:
The trip is fully supported and led by expert guides. The knowledge of the area and terrain means that you always know what is coming up in terms of distance and difficulty. An air-conditioned bus with a constant supply of cold drinks and fresh fruit will be on hand to pick up riders in need of a break.

Riders wanting to cycle from Bangkok can join Bicycling Bangkok to Phuket, a 10-day road ride which departs July 10, October 2 and November 6. There is a four-day gap between rides for a well-deserved rest at the magnificent beach resort island of Phuket.

What are the costs?
The tour costs US$3,650 (US$650 for a single supplement) with the additional US$450 Standard Bike hire or upgrade to hire a Trek Emonda S5 carbon bike - US$650.
