AVID Soccer Announces 2008 Shoot-Out Schedule

In 2007, the AVID Soccer Equipment Review held its first product shoot-outs. They proved to be the most read articles of the year. The 2008 schedule has been posted for manufacturers wishing to participate.

Palmdale, CA, January 07, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The AVID Soccer product comparisons are the most read articles each year. In 2007, the Training Ball Shoot-Out became the most read article of the year followed closely by the Match Ball Shoot-Out. The Goal Keeper Shoot-Out became the most subscribed entry.

They expect to continue to expand their readership in 2008. In support of this, AVID Soccer is soliciting products for testing and reviews throughout the year. Manufacturers wishing to participate should provide at least two examples of a product to ensure that a defect in one does not skew the results of the test. Additionally, care instructions, a standard marketing package and other relevant material may be provided for inclusion.

Several Shoot-Out tests are planned for the coming year as well as the annual AVID Soccer Awards (http://blog.avidsoccer.com/categories/Awards.aspx). Shoot-outs are head to head comparisons of competitive products. Criteria for the shoot-out will be slightly different than that used in general reviews. All products tested during a shoot-out will receive a standard review as well as inclusion in the shoot-out article and potential nomination for the annual awards.
