GroupBC Demonstrates the Business Case for BIM

Discussing Building Information Modelling (BIM) at Clerkenwell Design Week with leading UK Designers and Manufacturers.

Reading, United Kingdom, May 13, 2016 --(PR.com)-- GroupBC's Business Development Manager for BIM, Rick Cooper, will be discussing Building Information Modelling (BIM) at Clerkenwell Design Week on the 26th May.

Rick's expertise helps businesses deliver tangible benefits from BIM. His focus is delivering a return on investment from BIM across the whole Construction Industry supply chain.

BIM is all about creating a digital version of a built asset – therefore it’s all about the data.

Many UK construction projects now require BIM to be used because the UK Government has mandated its use on public funded projects. If you’re involved in the construction supply chain, you could be losing project opportunities if you’re not BIM compliant.

By linking all internal and external asset data using BIM, the entire supply chain throughout that asset’s lifecycle can access the latest information required at any point, removing risk from the use of outdated information.

Rick is currently working with a number of high profile Government and Private sector clients to support them on their UK BIM Level 2 journey.

This event showcases the very best of UK and International design, with showroom events, exhibitions and special installations that take place across the Clerkenwell area from 24th-26th May.
